William was a Private in Co. K of the 1st Alabama Regiment Calvery
in Walker County -later changed to Blount County, Alabama.
William was a Torie and fought on the Union (North) side in the Civil War.

Serial Number 18192336, of Hendrix, Bryan, Oklahoma, served in the US Army
Corp from 30 Oct 1942 to 14 Feb 1946. He served in the USA and was awarded
American Service Medal, Victory Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. He was
honorably discharged as a Corporal. After completion of enlistment, worked
in civil service maintenance on the flight line at Perrin AFB and Sheppard
AFB, TX.

 | Harold J. Gregory,
Serial Number 18192336, of Hendrix, Bryan, Oklahoma, served in the US Army
Corp from 19 July to Sep 1945. He served in Southern France,
Rome-Arno, North Apennines, PO Valley and Rhineland. He was awarded
the Good Conduct Medal, EAME Service Ribbon with one silver star and Air
Medal with one Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster. He was honorably discharged
as a Staff Sergeant.

 | Jimmie Elgene Gregory served in the Korean War.
This is my father, so of course I need to research more!

 | Charles Clarence Sturdevant, brother to my grandfather, served in WWI
He was a Private 1st Class in a Medical Detachment in the 7th Field
Artillery.
Charles died in battle on May 18th, 1918, in Paris, France, where he is
buried.
